On our way to the last destination.
Ok this place is really weird. You get to drive in first before you pay for the entrance fee. So I thought maybe we can just ignore the payment then. But, being a very high moral person *ahem* We still walked to the booth and paid.
It was getting hot so I stayed under the shade while Reimondo walked over. However, when I saw the tickets which are exactly like the conservation fee we paid earlier at Kinabalu park, we went back to the booth and asked for refund. Then, the staff scolded us for not showing our Kinabalu park tickets earlier.
So, a tip here. If you went to either park on the same day, you only need to pay the conservation fee once.
The map showing the way located besides the ticket inspection counter. So if you are trying to be dishonest, in the end you still have to walk a long way back to the entrance to buy the tickets.
On the hanging bridge after the ticket inspection.
I thought hot springs was the only attraction there until I see that signboard. But you have to purchase different tickets for each one.
Since we were short of time, so we choose the free waterfall. It took another 5 to 10 more min walk through a muddy and slippery trail. The changing room were located far under the hill. So we continued on till we reached the waterfall. Since it was getting really late, most visitors had gone to the hot springs. We get to change at the waterfall there.
The water was icy cold. So I dare not soak my whole body in the water. This is me sitting on a rock.
That was when Reimondo felt something crawled over his feet. It was tiny fishes that swam around and when you placed your feet in, they started coming over and bite at you.
It wasn’t painful but extremely itches. I wonder is this what people feel when they went for fish spa.
The water fall
The public bath. It was so modernized which all you do was turn on the tap.
One for hot water and another one for cold. It doesn’t feel like you were in a hot spring at all.
Besides, the greenish water and the smell of sulfur.
We went for a bath and gathered our belongings to leave this place before dark. We stopped by the souvenirs shop outside the main gate.
All sort of hats were sold.
and many handmade items.
Those pen holders were really cheap like RM1 or RM2 only.
I was only posing when I took this bag but everyone started to think that it was nice. So we asked for the price and it costs RM35. Then we started bargain and mum offered Rm20. So she gave us a price of RM30. Then I hung it back and insisted the price we offered. She gave in and said RM28 and explained that it was really hard to make this bag. I just smiled and walked away thinking that she might called me back but she didn’t lo. So bye bye little bag.
The little town of Ranau
We bought bananas and love letters rolls at the street stalls. I found out one stall offered love letters rolls for RM3 then another for RM2. The first stall knew we were tourist and tried to con us.
Last photo. Bye bye Kundasang. We just simply stopped by for this photo since I couldn’t find the place meant for photo taking all along.
It started to get cloudy on our way home.
It rained really heavily and we cannot even see the car at front because it was really foggy at the same time.
We were going on extremely slow pace until the sun set before we finally reached Gayang for dinner.
The end of KK May trip.
